The Jewelers of Louisiana 2021 Convention will be held August 14-15, 2021 at the New Orleans Downtown Marriot on Canal Street! Dinner will be held at Galatoire's in the French Quarter on Saturday night with the presentation of Jewelers of Louisiana and Lifetime Acheivement Awards. Speaker seminars and Jewelry Design Contest will take place on Sunday.

Ken Zachary

Ken grew up in Sapulpa, OK where he was considered a world class sprinter at the age of 15. As a senior in high school, Ken set a world record in the 60-yard dash with a time 5.92 seconds. Ken was an all-American in high school as well as earning All-state honors. Ken went on the Oklahoma State University, qualifying for the Olympic trials in the 100-meter dash. After college, Ken went on to play professional football in the CFL along with stints with the Green Bay Packers and San Diego Chargers. After an injury ended his career, Ken went on to join the prestigious Power Team and now travels as a motivational speaker and evangelist. Ken has travelled all over the planet speaking at schools, churches and business functions. Ken enjoys sharing his story and encouraging his audiences to be the best that they can be. He has also Authored 5 books about his life and his travels that will alsoencourage you in your daily life.

Harold Dupuy, Vice President of Strategic Analysis for Stuller, Inc., has had a multi-faceted career in the jewelry industry. In four decades as a jewelry professional, he has held many roles, ranging from executive leadership in a large public corporation to the operation of a successful independent store. A Fellow of the Gemological Association of Great Britain, a Graduate Gemologist (GIA), and a Master Gemologist Appraiser (ASA). Harold also owned and operated a private appraisal practice and his own gemological laboratory before joining Stuller. At Stuller, he draws on his diverse background to analyze, anticipate, and act on shifting currents in the international jewelry market.

Brandee Dallow
Fine Girl Luxury Brand Building & CommunicationsBrandee Dallow is the founder of Fine Girl Luxury Brand Building & Communications, a 360° communications consultancy specializing in the development and implementation of campaigns related to a company’s corporate social responsibility programs and efforts. She most recently served as the Regional Membership, Business Development Engagement Lead in North America for the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), promoting knowledge, ethics and integrity within the global gem and jewelry industry and will soon join SCS Global Services in a position to be announced. Dallow is a past president of the Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA), the current WJA Foundation board president, a member of the Mercury Free Mining Initiative board, an advisory board member of Ethical Metalsmiths and the Black in Jewelry Coalition, a member of the leadership council at RESOLVE and a recipient of the WJA Award for Excellence in Marketing & Communications.

You may submit yourself or others in the industry for nomination. The Jewelers of Louisiana Board will confidentially vote on nominations. Nominations should be emailed to Caroline. Winners will be notified prior to convention. The winners are required to attend the awards ceremony.
Lifetime Achievement AwardThe Lifetime Achievement Award is given to an individual who has been involved in the jewelry industry for over 20 years. The individual should possess qualities of professionalism, community involvement, exemplary customer service and excellence in the jewelry industry. This individual must have positively affected the Louisiana jewelry industry and represent the trade at the highest level, as a true standout among peers. This is the highest award granted by Jewelers of Louisiana.
Jewelers of Louisiana AwardThe Jewelers of Louisiana Award is given to a member of Jewelers of LA who dedicates themselves to furthering the values and objectives of the organization. He or she should possess qualities of excellence in their store, demonstrate a passion for jewelry, show leadership, perseverance, and determination.
We encourage jewelers to participate in Jewelers of Louisiana’s Annual Design Competition. Overall winner will advance to the National JA Case Awards in New York.
